To fall in love is a beautiful thing; in fact everybody in
their entire life would want to fall in love at least once in their life.
However these days, I feel that love hasn’t been a really
nice thing. With all the storybooks, dramas, movies, people start to have a
certain expectation of their partner, an expectation that we all know will
never happen, and even if there’s such a person it’ll be 1 in a thousand. And
with that expectation, we are always on the look for that particular Mr or Mrs
Perfect that we tend to oversee the people around us. And it’s really very sad
because sometimes, the people that truly love us may always be beside of us,
going through all highs and lows together with us, but we’ve never once looked
at them as a potential partner because maybe they aren’t tall enough, maybe
they aren’t that good looking enough, as compared to your Ideal One.
I admit that I do have an ideal one, a very typical one –
Handsome, Tall, Cool, Have the Badass but Nice side also, Humorous, Cute,
Dimples, Have the 3Cs. But if I ever think about it properly, actually no such
guy exists. Okay, well maybe it do, IN THE MOVIES. Yes, we get so influenced by
all the fiction and in the midst, not knowing that hey, actually do reality
work this way too? The fact that it is a fiction means it’s an imaginary life
that people may wish for simply because it does not happen in real life!
But there are people like me, who get really engrossed in
all the fiction stories, and stupidly hoped that we can be like the lead of the
story, meeting the ideal guy and you know all the cliché thing will happen…. And
the expectations of an ideal partner have exceeded what reality can provide us.
People got to know the difference between reality and
fantasy, and life isn’t going to be like how it is like in the movies…. So, stop expecting. (There's a 99% chance it will not happen)
Why would you want your life to be like any cliché movie/drama/story, when you can make it a different one?
